dead trees on a frozen lake dusted in snow

It’s Monochrome March!

For the month of March, many photographers will be shooting and posting in black and white. Using the hashtag #MonochromeMarch you can share your work and join in! I’m also choosing to shoot square cropped (1:1) for the month to an extra layer of creative constraint. Here are a few shots I’ve taken (admittedly in February) so far.

a grassland with a boardwalk running through it

closeup of a few small bowls on a shelf

a black cat looking off-frame to the right

a black cat with striking eyes looking into the camera

a grassland with a dark tree branch hanging down in from above the frame

a large dead tree is broken near the roots

a few dead trees sticking out from a frozen lake

a mysty woodland set against a clear sky

an oak leaf perfectly imprinted on a bed of snow and ice

a frozen lake with a dark tree branch hanging down in from above the frame

a tree with bright leaves in the midst of leafless trees in a forest

a tree trunk in the foreground with another blurred-out in the background
